No Infomercials or Hard-sells – But Wait! There’s More!

My grandson was peering over my shoulder and saw that my one book, Deuces Wild: Beginners’ Luck, was on sale for only $0.99.

Smart aleck that he is, he quipped, “For only three payments of 33 cents each!”

Ah, no, though – sorry, it must be a full payment of ninety-nine cents; no payment plans are available. There’s also no special knife sets or fantastic gadgets that slice, dice, and even juliennes fries!

However I do have a “But wait, there’s more!” It’s not the only book in the series, so if you like it, you have a second book to read, and there’s even a third book being written, which will be out sometime in 2019!

And don’t forget, the book is available in Kindle, Nook, Kobo, and several other formats!

My books are listed at Walmart’s website!

It’s a very cool thing to find one’s books listed in a new outlet – so seeing my books listed on Walmart’s website was fantastic!

It doesn’t look like they have an author page so one can list all of one’s books and have folks search by author, but yep, they’re there. They use the Kobo format, so if you prefer your ebooks in Kobo, they’ve got ’em!

If you’re new to my books, You might give Sword’s Edge a try, the first book in its series, or the first novel in my other series: Deuces Wild: Beginners’ Luck, which is on sale this month for only $0.99!

Of course, if you prefer other ebook formats, or would rather have a print book, you can choose your favorite from the offerings on my site:

Deuces Wild: “Loved it!”

Whoa – I just discovered that reviews for my books on Amazon.co.uk don’t show up on the US site. And that being so, I only just found this little gem of a review about Deuces Wild: Beginners’ Luck:

A friend suggested this author. I loved this book. I loved that the author used actual scientists as her sources, and the characters were engaging and interesting.

Thank you, Amazon UK Customer! (And you’re right; I do have a scientist who checks my work – I’m surprised I haven’t driven him to drink already!)

And don’t forget, my good and dear friends, that for this month, the book is on sale!

🙂

Deuces Wild: “fast-moving adventure” and now, only $0.99!

For this month, Deuces Wild: Beginners’ Luck is on sale for $0.99! A pretty good deal, if I do say so. And the book is pretty good as well, even if I do say so. Although I’m not the only one:

“In DEUCES WILD, L. S. King gives us a fast-moving adventure, told with wit and grace, and more than a dose of humor. ”
Mike Resnick, award-winning SF author

How ’bout that!

Hey Browncoats! Deuces Wild: Beginners’ Luck ebook is on sale!

Do you like Firefly? Ah, who doesn’t? In any event, I’ve got a treat for you!

For the month of September, I’m offering the ebook of the first novel in the Deuces Wild series for $0.99 in honor of um… well, I’m sure I’ll think of something. Oh, I’ve got it! Firefly premiered in September of 2002. Can you believe it’s been sixteen years?

We need more spacey, westerny fun! So I’m doing my part!

And yes, since you ask, this series has been compared to Firefly:

Author L. S. King gives us a series which combines the best Western vibe of Butch and Sundance with the space-faring vigor of Joss Whedon’s Firefly. This is a new series whose elements feel familiar, but whose treatment is entirely fresh.

Editor, Ray Gun Revival magazine

Check out this first book, and if you like it, snag the second. The third book is due out in 2019.

Can’t stop the signal!

Dover Comic Con was fantastic!

Today was so superb! Not only did I have a booth in between two great writers and author friends (Will Hahn and Bobbie Palmer), but I saw many other friends as well and some great cosplay. (And I got to hug lots of the Doctor! Wheeeee!)

So all of that in and of itself made it a fantastic day, but something else made it even better. I had folks come up to my table exclaiming about my new book. It wasn’t always the same one either. Quite a few wanted the second book of the Deuces Wild series, Stacking the Deck, and some wanted Children of the Enaisi (book two of the Sword’s Edge Chronicles). When they found out there was also a prequel that takes place 1,000 years before, quite a few snatched that one up too.

I got home to a private message from someone who wants book four (when its released) for a gift for a family member who is a big fan of my books. And a FB post mentioning me from someone at the Con who loves my writing.

Wow! Just…wow!

🙂

Dover Comic Con and new books in my series!

Tomorrow is Dover Comic Con, and I’m thrilled to have two new books in the Sword’s Edge Chronicles to offer at my table!

For those who aren’t close enough to attend (and if that’s the case I’m sorry, I’m so sorry), you can still snag the two new titles, or if you perhaps haven’t started the series yet, now is the time, because the fourth book in that series is due out this fall. You can get the first book, Sword’s Edge, online in print or ebook (in lots of different formats).

The two new books of the series are (in published order): Children of the Enaisi, which continues hard on the heels of the first book, Sword’s Edge, and book three, entitled Unlikely Prophet, a prequel which takes place 1,000 years in the past, and adds to the depth and understanding of their world.
Book four, Laws and Prophecies, as I said will be out soon.

And in case swords, capes, castles, aliens, portals, bio-tech, and telepathy aren’t your thing, I also have two novels in a space opera series: Deuces Wild. It’s about a cowboy and a space pirate. Or is he a mercenary? Or an assassin? Perhaps you’ll figure it out.
