The Muddle That Is the Writer’s Brain

Sword’s Edge Chronicles book four, The Reluctant King, is with my amazing copy editor. Yes, yes, my readers, it’s getting close now!

I’m supposed to be polishing a twenty-plus year old manuscript entitled Haladhon, hopefully to be released by the end of summer.

So naturally, I had a very bizarre dream last night, which made my brain jink sideways into thinking about the Deuces Wild universe.

This caused a long conversation with my son (long story short, I borrowed “his” universe when I first started writing DW, and his mind is where much of Carter’s genius—or insanity, depending on your point of view—comes from), and we have a basic plot premise for DW4.

So I’ll be trying to organize stuff for DW4 while rewriting Haladhon.

Let’s see what happens.
